When we reached Galway, the celebration had already started. My uncle and aunt were not mad at us because our presence were the only thing that matters, The baby boy is so cute and he was dressed in white satin. He made lots of noise, as if he wanted to participate also by welcoming the visitors. It was a very entertaining party.The following morning, we decided to enjoy fully our stay in Galway and started by window shopping. We walked up, down and around the place.Situated in the West, County Galway is one of the largest counties in Ireland. It is known to be the enchanting city with a very rich culture, and is appreciated for its dynamism and love for the arts. It has lots to offer to its visitors.

In my opinion, a full week is not enough to admire all its beauty. Moreover, after having spent some times at Salthill, the seaside resort and its famous promenade where we can watch the sun go down on the Galway Bay, we wish to move house and live there for ever.

As usual, I booked with car hire cork airport. I have no problem now to come on my own. This time, I was advised by a nice gentleman at the desk where I can book for a cheaper room not too far from the airport. I have many good friends in the city of Cork but I wanted to surprise them by my sudden vist in the Island.

The fact that I did not announce my visit, I found myself knocking at the door of one of my friends without answer. I was a bit annoyed and then I realised that it was my fault. Besides, I forgot to take with me my small pocket phone diary. So I decided that day to go for a long walk, stopped at a coffee shop. I enjoyed my Latte Coffee together with a delicious chocolate muffin.

By half past seven, I tried again my friend apartment. Fortunately the door was opened. He was so surprised to see me and so happy. He was also a bit angry, telling me that he could have prepared a nice dinner for me. Anyway , we decided to go for dinner in a restaurant.

Now we are just planning to go once more for a long walk in the woods together with all the other friends/

We were very happy to have booked with car hire cork city. We rented for two full weeks and we received good discount and pretty good vehicle. So, for aunt’s visit we brought her to Blarney Castle. She was so impressed by the castle but she did not want to take a risk kissing the stone. We understand as she is on her 72years but she enjoyed the long walk in the garden. She was also very happy to do some shopping in the Blarney woolen mills shop The next day we drove to Wilton where she invited us for icecream and coffee and then later we were on our way to Mahon Point shopping centre. She wanted to buy special flour to bake us a nice bread. Although she was tired, she enjoyed visiting all the places we brought her to. My partner’s aunt was very glad for her visit in Cobh as well. Before she went back to Germany, she invited us for a Traditional Irish dinner at Bramley Lodge. She spent a very nice holiday and intends to come again next year.

As for our friend from Poland, she is much younger, she enjoyed long walk in the wood. We did not hesitate to drive long distance, like going to crosshaven and stopped for a irish coffee. She was very impressed to look at all the beautifil coloured flowers in some places…she kept saying “Wow! Flowers in January, fantastic!” For her last night in Ireland, we brought her in Roaring Donkey pub in Cobh. She took the flight back to Poland the following day, very happy with Live Traditional Irish music in her ears.We were tired but very glad also because it was holiday for us as well.

So, before my husband and I used to wait for her at the Cork airport but now it is no more necessary. She just take car hire cork airport and drive straight away to our home by herself. Sometimes she will stay for a day and sometimes she will come very early morning and will go very late at night. It depends on how business is. Usually she comes just to spend few moments with us and she is always delighted to go for long randonnee in the woods. In the summer time, we will make it up to the beach also.
She is a very busy person. She said that she likes to escape at least once in a month the routine and just leaves all troubles behind for a while. When she is with us, we never talk about work. She is here to relax, to breathe fresh air in the wood of Ireland, to go to the beach, to savour our delicious menu which we prepare specially for her, so be it.She enjoys also each time she can make it to listen to live Irish traditional music in pub.

We also like when she comes to our place. It is like we too forget about worries and the routine. We just take a break.

In Dublin, generally the easiest way not to get lost, or we have to fix an appointment with a friend, it will be to the Spire and the General Post Office in O’Connell street that we refer to. We can see the Spire from a long distance, no doubt for me, it is very clear that it is the main point of meeting.

Dublin is the capital city of Ireland. There are lots of tourist attractions and enjoyable nightlife over there. I never get bored walking in Grafton street. So as not to get the car clamp, we use to leave it in the garage and proceed on foot. It is also very nice to enter in a pub, spending sometimes simply listening and enjoying traditional musics.

It is, for sure, not in one day that we can visit all the beautiful places in Dublin. We must plan long holiday or keep going there each free time in the year.

But it should be on a very bright and shiny day. You should also be well prepared, meaning a very good car, full tank . You need also foods and drinks. You must not forget to top-up your mobile in case of any emergency.

I tried this myself but not alone. So, with two friends, we started one saturday early  morning in car hire cork fully tanked. We drove for hours without knowing exactly where we were going.

It happened that we drove on a road thinking that it would bring us to a place and then we found out that we were completely very far from the place we imagined. At times, we stopped, curiously asked to anybody walking where we were. It was also good thing, for the person started talking about the place, telling about the past events and so on. We got to know different cultures and the people in some places

By 2pm we stopped between the woods and had something to eat and drink. Off we drove again. It was so exciting, but I must confess that it was also a bit frightening. Anyway, for me it was a good experience and fun as well.

We all have our driving permits, so which made the trip much easier and lots of fun. We made a mistake of not starting very early. We were on the road at around half past ten. Every one hour, we changed driver. We also stopped to drink juices or water and had something to eat.

Finally, we stopped at Dublin for a long rest. We had coffee and fresh muffins with butter and jam. We all deserved it after almost three hours drive. After one hour rest, we are back on the road. We enjoyed pleasant views all the way through; nice coloured houses in certain counties, the wild nature, lots of wild and beautiful flowers and plants.

At last we reached Belfast about quarter to five. We went directly to the hotel we booked for the night. It was a chance that we thought of spending two days visit over there. The car rental cork city provided us a road map, leaflets and some practical advices.

That night , we only went to pub and made the most of it. The following day, we woke up very early, had a rapid breakfast and off we were out again. We went to the Victoria square shopping centre and also in St Georges market. We were very tired but very happy. It was a nice experience.

So it was really fantastic and wonderful on the very first week of the year, I heard my doorbell ringing. I jumped out of bed, thinking that it might be some friends coming to spend the day with me. It was them for real. I was so happy but felt a bit stupid also that I was not prepared for their sudden visit. It did not matter, they said, we are parents. They already had planned everything, all by themselves. They told me that they did all through internet. They are amazing. They just followed the instructions with the help of a road map up to my place.

We are fortunate enough to have with us plastic bags in which were our sandwiches and other snacks. Because we used them to put berries and flowers which we collected all throughout our way. It was a very fun day. We sang quite a lots. From times to times, we stopped and one of us would start talking about the funniest moment in our life. At certain moment, someone would play some kind of pranks on each other, such as hiding in the bush or climbed up on a tree and shook the branches with dry leaves on us.

We walked about three hours already when it suddenly started raining. It was heavy rain and we had nothing to cover and no where to hide. We were wondering at that moment if we should continue to walk ahead or made our way back. One of us was already wet from head to toe and was feeling so cold, so we decided to walk back to our car as fast as we could. No more joke, no more pranks. one thought only was to get back home soon.

I was the one who drove that day because I had to bring the car back early morning to car rental cork. It was not easy for me to get up the following day. I was feeling pains everywhere on my body. It was good exercises and very good fun as well. Unfortunately for us, the rain spoilt our day or should I say our negligence of not having armed ourselves with raincoats and not even an umbrella or any spare clothing who spoilt our day.

A day before we went to the garage and picked up at car hire cork the car of our choice. On our way home, we stopped at one library shop and collected road maps and any other leaflet for our trip.

By the way, we chose in the area of Boggeragh Mountains, the highest peak of Musheramore which is found in the county of Cork. We reached early at the foot of the mountain. We parked the car in a safe place. Each of us packed its own bag on our shoulder and there we started.

First we had to walk up a small wooden stair to go on the other side. It was all fun because we were a group of four. While we were climbing, we were surprised to see how the countryside change gradually, meaning the size of it. It was so beautiful to look at all the plants and flowers from the top of the mountain. We met lots of the mountain goats, the sheeps and also monkeys.

We stopped from time to time to admire the beauty of the nature, to take photos and to make our day, a day to remember for ever.
